Isha Adiyogi Shiva Statue-GUINNESS WORLD RECORD " LARGEST BUST SCULPTURE"


"Adiyogi  Shiva  statue" has been  recognized as  "Largest  Bust  sculpture" in the world  by  the   Guinness  World  Records.
Actually , Isha  is  a   foundation  which  is  recognized  as non profit  organization  which  offers    yoga  programs  around   the  world  which  took initiative in social  development, education, human empowerment  and   environment.It  was founded  and  guided  by "Jaggi Vasudev" simply called as    "sadhguru". He is  an  indian Yogi, mystic  and author.

This Adiyogi  shiva  statue  was designed  by  ISHA  foundation founder  "SADHGURU" and built   by   isha foundation..

 It   is  a 34 m. tall ("112 ft.") excluding plinth, 45 m. long (147 ft. )  and  7.62 m.   wide (24.99 ft.)   of  "Indian deity"  LORD SHIVA  with white  Thirunamam   (sacred name of  god)      at  "COIMBATORE " in the Indian sate of  TAMIL NADU. It   is  located  at  Isha  Yoga  complex   which  houses the  Dhyanalinga  in Coimbatore,Tamil Nadu  at the  foothills   of    Velliangiri   mountains ,a range in the  Western Ghats.




 This  112  feets  (height of  statue) particularly, represents  112  possibilities  to attain the "moksha" (liberation)  that is mentioned in yoga culture.It also  symbolizes  112  chakras  in   human system.


This  statue  is  for  inspiring and promoting  Yoga  and is  named   Adiyogi  which  means  first Yogi   because  Shiva is  known as  originator of  Yoga.

 A Linga  called  "YOGESHWAR  LINGA"   was consecrated through  ceremony called "Prana   pratistha" and  is placed  infront  of  Adiyogi  statue.This south facing  Adiyogi  is  also  called  as  "Dakshinamurthy" and "Adi guru".




This  main   statue  was   inaugurated   by present    Prime Minister  of INDIA ,  Narendra  Modi on 24 February,2017   on   eve of Maha Shivarathri. He  also  inaugurated  the  book "ADIYOGI-The source of  yoga"   written by  Sadhguru  and  Arundhathi  Subramaniam.  Notable polticians at the  inauguration are  Tamil Nadu  Governor  C.Vidyasagar Rao, Tamil nadu Chief Minister  Edappadi  k.palaniswami,   Madhya Pradhesh Chief  Minister Shiva  Raj Singh  Chouhan,,Rajasthan Chief Minister  Vasundhara raje scindia,  A.P Cief Minister  N.Chandra Babu Naidu. Some Kollywood as well as Bollywood actresses also present at ceremony like juhi  chawla , Kajal Aggarwal , Rana Daggupati .
A  Song was also sung on "Adiyogi-the sorce of yoga" to mark the unveiling of the statue and was released on Youtube on 19 february,2017.
We will  have lot of  cottages specially who want to visit ,called isha cottages and also Nalanda Guest accommodations  with all necessary facilities(audio and video internet connection).
